We headed thru the tunnel to New Brighton Beach on a beautiful but windy Sunday morning. It wasn’t too cold but the wind did pick up at times. Making walking interesting, depending upon the direction of travel.
We spent the day exploring in Whitehaven, Cumbria. After walking around the town we headed out along the pier to enjoy the view as the sun started to set. As we headed back towards the town we had a great view of the Candlestick Chimney. The Candlestick, a chimney built in 1850 as a ventilation shaft for the workings of Wellington Pit, located in the South Beach area of Whitehaven Harbour

A few days away in the Lake District. The wind and the rain made for an interesting walk but as always you can’t beat time in the lakes.
