We decided to explore an area of Liverpool that we haven’t visited much – Toxteth L8. The area has seen a lot of regeneration in recent years after decades of decline.

It had been a long day so it was good to get out of the house for a walk around the local golf course, still closed at the moment due to lockdown restrictions. Not the greatest sunset but still a good time to be walking.

We decided to head out form the Pier Head south along the River Mersey for a change. An overcast day but thankfully no rain but this did mean there were a lot more people out which made social distancing a little more difficult.

It was a damp morning for a walk around the city centre of Liverpool. We stopped for a little explore of the plateau outside St George’s Hall.

I love to travel by train and this has been near impossible lately due to the on going lockdowns. So, on a recent visit to Lime Street Station I had to stop and watch a few trains leave. Hopefully in the near future I will be able to set off from here on another great railway journey.

Allerton Towers, one of the many large parks in the south side of Liverpool.
Not as big as Sefton Park but still room for a good stretch of the legs.
